Case filed against YoYo Honey Singh for domestic violence.

Under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act (PWDVA 2005), a case has been filed against the famous Bollywood singer and rapper YoYo Honey Singh (Hridesh Singh) by his wife Shalini Talwar. Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court has issued notice to the singer and sought his response over it.
The complaint read , “the Applicant has been subjected to numerous incidents of physical abuse, verbal, mental abuse and emotional abuse, at the hands of the Respondents”, indicating both Singh and his parents.
The complaint documents details of the alleged physical and mental abuse by Honey Singh. It says that their relationship started in 2001 and after 10 years of dating, they married each other but soon Honey Singh started physically abusing him right from their honeymoon in 2011 in Mauritius.
She also complained that after achieving stardom, he became “rude, brash, aggressive, contemptuous and disrespectful” towards her. He also allegedly tried hard to hide their marriage, gave his money to his parents, cheated on her and became addicted to alcohol and drugs.
