Aaron Fischer becomes Marvel’s first gay Captain America

Marvel Universe’s one of the most admired superheroes, Captain America will be celebrating his 80th anniversary of creation, which also collides with the pride month observed every year as a symbol of fight for rights from the LGBTQ+ community.
The storyline for this tradition involves a super meet of all the Captain America from the past. They will take a road trip across the US to find the shield, and will meet people from “all walks of life” who have taken on the mantle of Captain America to defend their communities.
A teenager named Aaron Fischer who stands in support of the LGBTQ+ community will take the mantle in thier own hands to become the first LGBTIQ+ character to become Captain America.
They are imagined as a superhero who helps people with their daily life struggles. So while Captain America played by Chris Evans protects the world, Aaron protects people walking alone at night. They will debut as “Captain America of the Railways”, as “a fearless teen who stepped up to protect fellow runaways and the unhoused”,
Marvel reportedly had a “No Gays in the Marvel Universe” policy in the 1980s and, in the 1990s, placed an “Adults Only” label on any comics featuring prominent LGBTQ+ characters in response to conservative protests.
This did not stop Artist Jan Bazaldua from creating the character she said “ I really enjoyed creating Fischer As a transgender person, I am happy to be able to present an openly gay person who admires Captain America and fights against evil to help those who are almost invisible to society,”
The new limited series will be released in June 2021.
