Review petitions filed in SC challenging judgement upholding Article 370

Several petitions have been filed before the SC which challenged the judgement that was given on 11th December 2023, that upheld the centre’s decision of scrapping J&K’s special status.
Lawyer Muzaffar Iqbal Khan, who was also a petitioner in the main case, had again filed the petition.
He had mentioned in his review petition that the principles and parameters of the judgement are erroneous. Awami National Conference had also filed the petition.
The judgement stated that every decision which was taken by the centre during the period of emergency cannot be challenged legally as it would create chaos.
It was said by the apex court that the arrangement of Article 370 was only interim. It was created given to the conditions in the state and was a temporary and transitory provision.
