SuoMotu Cognizance initiated by Telangana HC for the menace of missing children in the state

A suo moto cognizance was taken by the Telangana HC on the issue of missing children as recently the state was ranked 8th nationwide in the count of missing children.

The division bench comprised of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Anil Kumar Jukanti took cognizance of the matter after a news article was published in the Times of India English daily newspaper, Hyderabad City edition on 11th December.

As per the Article, it has been stated that at least 10 children go missing in the state daily and that about 4000 children remain untraced.
