In a recent order, the SC observed that there is a dearth of super speciality doctors in the field of dentistry.
Owing to this, the court issued an order, directing the issuance of the pending degrees to the graduates.
The appeal was heard by the bench of Justice BR Gavai and Justice KV Viswanathan, which was filed by the MDS graduates, in the dental college of Madhya Pradesh.
They were challenging the order of the MP High Court which had order the cancellation of their admission.
The court observed that the contention that the MDS admission of the other students who completed their bachelor’s in dental surgery, who were similarly situated has not been disturbed.
The court clarified that if the appellants were not regularized , the time spent on the clearance of the degrees would go to waste. The appeal was allowed by the court.
