The judge went on to say that while he left office with the satisfaction of dealing with justice according to his conscience, he had failed in his efforts to streamline the legal profession and legal education. The farewell speech saw Judge Kirubakaran call on the attorneys and the bar panel to make every effort to restore the bar.
He also advises young lawyers to seek advice from senior attorneys during their first three to five years of practice. He also urged seasoned attorneys to treat their younger siblings as if they were their own.

Another front on which Judge Kirubakaran has expressed his distress concerns liquor stores or TASMAC stores, as they are called in Tamil Nadu. In this regard, the judge said he had failed in his attempt to shut down TASMAC.
“The government should take care of the people and close at least part of the TASMAC stores (liquor distributors), so one day there will be a ban in the state. The dream of the father of the nation will come true”, did he declare.

While recounting his experience as a judge, Judge Kirubakaran further told the audience that he was satisfied to resolve disputes involving war parents and their children, which he observed more satisfaction than to solve a thousand cases.

“The sadness and suffering, the pain and anguish that children experience are incomparable. During my 12 year career, I have reconciled thousands of people. I show children fathers they haven’t seen for 10 or 12 years. The satisfaction I get is more than the satisfaction I can get from solving thousands of cases, ”he said

He continued to urge lawyers and other stakeholders to work to resolve the issue.
“Families are broken up, not only because of the problems created by husband and wife, but also by some lawyers. Whenever the group approaches, try to convince them to come together, otherwise the children will become victims, ”he said.

He especially thanked his parents and family, and fondly recalled the trust and trust of his late father. The judge also took this opportunity to apologize to his wife and daughter, because they were buried in judicial work during most of their tenure in the High Court.

“One good morning, my wife told me,’You are also handling the case while you are sleeping.’ Before I responded, she said,’Even if you are dictating while you are asleep,'” Judge Kirubaka Lan recalled in his speech. The
retired judge further thanked every court staff and court official who worked with him during his 12-year tenure in the High Court.
When his speech came to a close, the judge observed:

“In my life, my soul will wander to three places. One is my home in the village, where I grew up and graduated; the second is me The Defender’s Room; the third is this red building (Madras High Court). ”

Attorney General R Shunmugasundaram spoke about how the Bar Association will fondly remember Judge Kirubacaran.
“ When your lord walks up the stairs of the high court, he always smiles back with a ‘vanakkam’ (greeting). His departure will create a void in the heart of the Brotherhood of Law, and we will all miss it deeply. “
