UN adopts resolution on multilingualism, mentions Hindi for first time

For the first time United National General Assembly (UNGA) accepted the resolution passed by the India where Hindi is also included in multilingualism.

UN adopts to disseminate the communication and messages through official as well as unofficial languages which also includes Hindi. Official Languages of UN such as Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish where English and French hold to be a working languages.

The resolution passed by the India’s Permanent Representative to the Union Nations, includes the Hindi language to continue important communication and also added Bengali and Urdu. Ambassador TS Tirumurti expressed gratitude for accepting Hindi in multilingualism and giving it a major importance.He added the partnership between India and UN Department of Global Communication (DGC) having communication and news media in Hindi language and he brought the context to the world at large where communication plays a major role when it comes to understanding and reaching out for the people at large for spreading awareness. Hindi is one such language which conquers many areas of the people and the world.

He put into light the resolution passed in the first session where the purpose of UN completes only when the people are informed about aims and it’s activities.

Multilingualism is one such medium which brings harmony in the communication. The General Assembly of the UN has given core importance for multilingualism.
